The Instech VABR2L is a two-channel loop connector designed for rats using the Vascular Access Button™ system. This specialized shunt links the red and white ports of a 2-channel button to create a continuous extracorporeal circuit, typically between a bile duct catheter and a duodenal catheter. By allowing bile to circulate naturally during recovery or between sampling intervals, the loop maintains the animal's physiological homeostasis and prevents bile salt depletion. The low-profile connector attaches magnetically, providing a secure yet low-stress connection that allows for pair or group housing when used with a protective cap.
