Clamps
Adjustable devices designed to securely hold two objects together or to hold an object in place; used with standard-taper and ball-and-socket joints, glass and tubing assemblies, and with ring stands. Available as plastic joint clips, stainless steel pinch clamps, and taper clips.
A laboratory clamp is an essential piece of equipment used to support and secure labware and other laboratory apparatus such as flasks, reaction vessels, tubing, thermometers, probes, columns, funnels, and overhead stirrers.
Some laboratory clamps consist of a shaft and boss head, secured with hand-tightened thumbscrews, knurled nuts, or wingnuts onto a supporting rod, stand or scaffold. They may also include two- or three-pronged, adjustable closing jaws designed for gripping objects safely and securely.
Laboratory clamps are constructed of metals such as stainless steel, nickel-plated zinc, plated brass or diecast aluminum alloy for enhanced chemical, heat, and corrosion resistance. However, some components such as the adjusting screws may be made of plastic, and the prongs may also be lined or covered with cork, plastic, glass-fiber, or rubber for enhanced grip with minimal damage or breakage.

Used to hold apparatus at a fixed 90° angle near the lab frame where no adjustment is required after set-up. Choose single adjustment style for standard use where one prong or “finger” is adjusted using a wing nut, while the other prong remains stationary or for a more versatile clamp choose the dual adjustment style. Utilizing thumbscrews, both prongs are easily adjusted over a wider range. Offered in either stainless steel or nickel plated zinc. Supplied with non-slip vinyl sleeves or for temperatures above 212°F (100°C), fiberglass covers.

Clamp, Three-Prong Extension, Open Yoke, Large, Single Adjust, 10 1/2in OAL. Nickel-plated zinc alloy clamp has high tensile strength and corrosion resistance. Fully enclosed stainless steel springs provide smooth operation, with an open yoke to allow full use of the clamp depth. Three-prong clamps are available in single and dual adjustment. Clamp, Reactor Support, 80mm. Similar to CG-1947, support clamp is designed to fit just below the flange of all Chemglass Reactors and permits Reactor lid to be detached without removing the Reactor body from the support clamp. Improved clamp is hinged on one side to swing open and allow complete access to install/remove reactor while clamp is still attached to lattice or benchtop support stand. Removable tightening knob holds Reactor secure. Clamps are constructed of stainless steel with a 1/2" OD X 9.5” long extension rod for connection to lattice and benchtop support stands.
