The mix is uniquely designed to overcome much higher concentrations of inhibitors, and so do not require a DNA purification step to concentrate and purify a patient sample. Very fast reaction kinetics result in faster time to results and superior amplification sensitivity and specificity. In addition, the 4x concentrated master mix is formulated with air-drying excipients which are optimized for oven-drying to create ambient-temperature stable assays, making it ideal for POC blood testing.

Lyo-Ready DNA qPCR Urine is a glycerol-free, high-concentration, ready-to-use qPCR formulation engineered with a proprietary buffer system designed for overcoming inhibitors found in urine. It allows accurate target amplification direct from urine or pooled urine samples. It can be used in multiplex assays that require minimal sample processing and fast turn-around times without compromising sensitivity, for low copy number samples. It also increase reproducibility in extracted samples, as extraction methods are not always 100% efficient, often resulting in loss of target nucleic acid and potential co-purification of urine PCR inhibitors that can interfere with amplification, leading to false-negative results. It is ideal for room temperature, lyophilized, singleplex and multiplex qPCR assays and is suited for high-throughput, automated platforms.
