BioChain's formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue section line encompasses a large selection of tissue sections which are suitable for immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization assays. The tissue sections are approximately 5 um thick. Each slide contains tissue from a single human tumor. Documentation of tissues' clinical histories may be available upon request. For those customers who want to perform FFPE DNA and RNA isolation, BioChain can provide tissue section slices in tubes instead of mounting them on glass slides.

The PathHunter TACR3 Activated GPCR internalization cell line is a stable, engineered cell line for use in studying drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) affecting GPCR activation and internalization. This cell line uses EFC technology to measure ligand-induced internalization of TACR3 via detection of localization to the early endosome. The included cell line overexpresses EA-tagged β-Arrestin-2 as well as a ProLink-tagged early endosome protein and untagged TACR3. Upon ligand-induced receptor activation, β-Arrestin-2 is recruited to the activated GPCR and the resulting TACR3-arrestin complex is internalized to the early endosome, leading to production of EFC signal. One of a series of pBluescript-based integrating vectors (ATCC 77138-77141) differing in the yeast selectable marker gene. This is a YI-type (integrating shuttle vector ) permitting visual detection of recombinants and production of ssDNA in E. coli. It contains promoters for invitro RNA synthesis, priming sites useful for sequencing, and encodes the lacZ alpha (lacZ?) peptide. The pRSS56, base vector was constructed by ligating a PvuI fragment (bp 498-2412) of pBluescript KS+ to a PvuI fragment (bp 2850-730) of pBS(+). It contains the KS MCS from pBluescript KS+ and the unique NdeI and AatII sites between bla and the f1 origin of pBS(+). A fragment (1.112 kb) containing the URA3 gene was inserted into the NdeI site of pRSS56. All ends were blunted.
