Single Donor Human Whole Blood from Innovative Research is collected from individual donors in an FDA-approved collection center. Whole blood must be held after draw for FDA-required viral testing.
Rush shipments are available upon request (while test results are pending) - in the event the blood is shipped pending test results, any reactive results will be relayed once available. If you have a preference (viral tests pending vs. viral tests completed), please make a note indicating your preference in the specifications box above. Unless otherwise indicated, we will ship with viral testing completed.Â

Each unit is tested for the standard FDA-required viral markers, and found negative for HBsAg, HCV, HIV-1, HIV-2, HIV-1Ag or HIV-1 NAT, ALT, and syphilis using FDA-approved methods. If you would like any further testing or analysis performed prior to shipping, please let us know.Â

Unless otherwise specified, whole blood is collected in a CPD collection bag and specimen samples are collected in EDTA tubes. We can collect whole blood in any commercially available collection tubes with anticoagulants per your specifications.
Normal whole peripheral blood (PB) is obtained from healthy donors using Institutional Review Board (IRB)-approved consent forms and protocols. Acid citrate dextrose, solution A (ACDA), Sodium Heparin (Na-Hep), Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), or Citrate-phosphate-double-dextrose (CP2D) is the anticoagulant.Certain products are only available in select territories. These cell suspensions are useful for the titration of complement adsorption procedures testing for agglutinins/HA assays and for the preparation of stroma as particulate reagents. Human red blood cells are perishable and are collected and processed upon receipt of your order.
