MagStrep “type3” Strep-Tactin beads have an agarose surface coated with the streptavidin variant Strep-Tactin and intended for purification of biotinylated proteins. Originally, Strep-Tactin was developed for binding and purification of Strep-tagII/Twin-Strep-tag proteins. Strep-Tactin still has the capability to bind biotin, which is used as specific competitor for elution of Strep-tagged proteins. The release is carried out under mild and physiological conditions by adding an excess of free biotin. This reversible binding to Strep-Tactin make them to a perfect tool for isolation of biotinylated proteins or complexes via pull-downs or co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) in batch format or high-throughput screenings.Due to the magnetic core no centrifugation step is required since the beads can be easily separated with a magnetic separator, reducing the risk of disturbing the pellet or loss of beads within the wash step to zero. 20 μl suspension correspond to 1 μl magnetic beads.

The Sony Biotechnology Cleaning Beads are polystyrene beads used to clean flow cells and fluidic systems in Sony cell sorters. They are designed to remove sample residue, prevent clogs, and maintain optimal instrument performance. The beads are 0.3-0.4mm in diameter and supplied in a 30mL bottle containing approximately 1.2 billion beads. To use, inject beads into the fluidics system and run for 1-2 minutes weekly or as needed. The beads can be reused up to 3 times if rinsed well between uses. This product helps maintain cell sorter fluidics for optimal sorting performance.
