2′-O-Methyluridine is a modified nucleoside found in T. thermophile tRNA. Its serum level is decreased in breast cancer patients. It can be incorporated into siRNA targeting the gene encoding apolipoprotein B, which reduces ApoB protein levels in HepG2 and prevents IFN-α production in isolated human PBMCs.
