Description

Description

Description: The SN6 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD105, also known as Endoglin. CD105, an approximately 90 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer is expressed by vascular endothelial cells and some bone marrow cells and activated macrophages. It is suggested that CD105 functions in adhesion and embryonic angiogenesis. Applications Reported: This SN6 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications Tested: This SN6 antibody has been pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometric analysis of U937 cell line. This may be used at 5 μL (0.06 μg) per test. A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. Brilliant Violet™ 605 (BV605) is a tandem dye that emits at 605 nm and is intended for use on cytometers equipped with a violet (405 nm) laser. Please make sure that your instrument is capable of detecting this fluorochrome. When using two or more Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™, or other polymer dye-conjugated antibodies in a staining panel, it is recommended to use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize any non-specific polymer interactions. Please refer to the datasheet for Super Bright Staining Buffer or Brilliant Stain Buffer for more information. Light sensitivi...

CD105 or Endoglin is a Type I transmembrane protein, which is highly expressed on human vascular endothelial cells. It exists on an O- and N-glycosylated homodimer. Up regulation of endoglin expression has been demonstrated in tumor vasculature and proliferating cells, suggesting that it is a proliferation associated endothelial marker. CD105 binds to TGF beta 1 and 3 with high affinity but not to TGF beta 2.
