Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

GAU 008-01-02 detects Complement factor D in human serum and plasma. GAU 008-01-02 has been successfully used in ELISA and Western blot procedures. Use in Western blotting under non-reducing conditions. GAU 008-01 may be used as detection antibody in sandwich ELISA with GAU 010-04-02 as a capture antibody.

Complement factor D is a serine protease of the alternative pathway of complement activation. The protein is a single chain polypeptide with a molecular mass of 25 kDa. Factor D cleaves factor B bound to C3b, generating the alternative pathway C3 convertase C3bBb and releasing the Ba fragment.
