Description
The recommended shelf life for this product is 1 year from date of receipt.
Formin-like protein 2 is a cytoplasmic phosphoprotein belonging to the formin homology domain containing protein family and has a DAD (diaphanous autoregulatory domain), FH2 (formin homology 2) domain, and GBD/FH3 (Rho GTPase-binding/formin homology 3) domain. The exact function of FMNL2 is yet to be known but reports suggest that it may have a role in the Wnt signaling pathway. Formin-related proteins are also known to play an important role in morphogenesis, cytokinesis and cell polarity. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described but their full-length nature is not yet determined. It is also known to be associated with a diffuse-type gastric cancer, breast cancer, chondrosarcoma, melanoma, and glioblastoma. FMNL2 might be implicated in polarity control, invasion, migration or metastasis through actin filament nucleation and may be regulated by Rho family GTPase.Specifications
