Description
Host Species: Rabbit
Isotype: IgG
Species Reactivity: Human. Others not known.
Epitope: Not determined
Immunogen: IgA isolated from a pool of normal human sera
Molecular Weight: 50kDa
Positive Control: Tonsil
Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic Ab-2 recognizes a protein of 50kDa, identified as alpha heavy chain of human immunoglobulins. It reacts with both IgA1 and IgA2 isotypes. Ab-2 does not cross-react with γ (IgG), μ (IgM), ε (IgE), or δ (IgD), heavy chains, T-cells, monocytes, granulocytes, or erythrocytes. Ab-2 is useful in the identification of leukemias, plasmacytomas, and certain non-Hodgkin's lymphomas.
