Description
IND 1316 is an activator of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). In vitro, it activates AMPK in a dose-dependent manner and induces different MAPK pathways (p38 and JNK). In vivo, it reduces the neuropathological symptoms in two animal models of Huntington's Disease (nematodes and mice). It shows very low toxicity even at high concentrations (>200 μM). This compound is orally bioavailable.
