Description

Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

MA5-15927 targets NQO1 in indirect ELISA, FACS and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples. The MA5-15927 immunogen is purified recombinant fragment of human NQO1 expressed in E. Coli. . MA5-15927 detects NQO1 which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 31kDa.

NQO1 is a member of the NAD(P)H dehydrogenase (quinone) family and a cytoplasmic 2-electron reductase. This FAD-binding protein forms homodimers and reduces quinones to hydroquinones. NQO1's enzymatic activity prevents the one electron reduction of quinones that results in the production of radical species. Altered expression of the protein has been seen in many tumors and is also associated with Alzheimer's disease (AD).
