Description
Phenol red sodium salt is a pH indicator commonly used in cell culture for monitoring pH changes. It is used in the pH ranges between 6.8 and 8.2. It is involved in the studies of gastrointestinal and other systems. It can be used to check hydrogen peroxide in supernatants from cultured macrophages in multiwell plates. Further, it is used as a diagnostic aid for determination of renal function.
