Phospho-Stat4 (Tyr693) Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Stat4Y693-F6), Invitrogen™
Rabbit Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Thermo Scientific MA528066
Description
Recombit rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombit rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire.
The STAT 4 protein is a transcription factor activated by hormone and cytokines. STAT 4 is most similar to STAT 1 (52%) and STAT 3 (47%). Functionally, STAT 4 is similar to other STAT family members in that it can be tyrosine phosphorylated by JAK 1 or JAK 2. STAT 4 forms homodimers and heterodimers with related STAT family members. Tyrosine phosphorylated STAT 4 can bind the interferon g activated site (GAS), and serine phosphorylation is also required for maximal transcriptional activity. STAT 4 expression is restricted to the thymus, spleen, and testis.
