These high alumina crucibles allow for higher temperature usage compared to porcelain.

This cylindrical-form crucible is crafted from 99.7% pure aluminum oxide, ideal for high-temperature work demanding contamination-free results.

  • Maximum use temperature is 1750°C (3182°F)
  • Temperature change rate should not exceed 150°C (302°F) per hour
  • High-alumina products are highly refractory, meant for use in reducing and oxidizing atmospheres
  • Material is inert in hydrogen and carbonaceous atmospheres and offers high resistance to alkalis and other fluxes
  • Recommended for use with refractory metals
  • Suitable for glass melting, including borosilicate glass
