Octopamine-d4 hydrochloride is a deuterium-labeled form of Octopamine hydrochloride. It acts as a neurohormone, neuromodulator, and neurotransmitter in invertebrates, stimulating alpha2-adrenoceptors. It has been observed to increase glycogenolysis, glycolysis, oxygen uptake, gluconeogenesis, and portal perfusion pressure.
