The beneficial effects of TXAS inhibition by ozagrel include improved motor coordination after experimental stroke, and antihypertensive effects in spontaneously hypertensive rats.

Treated cells did not undergo mitochondrial-permeability-transition-pore MPTP formation, suggesting a mitochondrial outer membrane permeabilization MOMP model of cytochrome c release.
