The rotor seal is a Vespel-type seal designed for the Rheodyne model 7125 or 7725i Sample Injector. It creates a flow path between adjacent stator ports and includes a Teflon sleeve where the needle port tube pushes against the outer edge with spring tension. This seal is crucial for the sample injector’s operation, enabling a flow path and preventing the need for constant flushing of the sample loop, unless performing trace analysis.
