Rapid-Core is a multi-purpose sampling tool, designed with retractable cutting cannula for easy operation. Efficient, safe, fast and precise, the Rapid-Core consists of a razor sharp stainless steel cutting tip, designed to cut, retrieve and store cored samples from source materials such as skin, tissue, gels, paper, cloth, leaves, paint chips, films or other thin, soft substrates. The Rapid-Core is well known and recommended as the special DNA sampling tool and is ideal for forensic and laboratory sampling purposes.
Each Rapid-Core is individually packaged and ethylene oxide sterilized. Polypropylene body with 304 stainless steel cutting cannula (tip).

World Precision Instrument McPherson-Vannas Spring Scissors, 8cm, Straight
The McPherson-Vannas spring scissors were originally designed by Dr. David McPherson and Dr. Erkki Vannas in the 1970s specifically for microsurgery, which requires precision in the dissection of delicate tissues. These surgical scissors are 8cm long. The fine (0.3mm), rounded tips of these Vannas spring scissors reduce the risk of accidental tissue damage because they won't puncture. They also offer greater visibility of the surgical site in confined spaces. For even greater visibility at the tip, select the curved blades. They are available with blades that are straight, curved, angled at 45 degrees, or angled on the flat face. These surgical scissors have a smooth cutting action for a clean cut with minimal damage to surrounding tissues. The lightweight and ergonomic design of the McPherson-Vannas spring scissors reduces hand fatigue during use.

Our Mini Dissecting Scissors with Large Rings are similar to regular dissecting scissors, but they are shorter and have more delicate tips, making them ideal for fine dissection work in tight spaces. They are commonly used in microsurgery, like ophthalmic surgery. These dissecting scissors have large rings for people with larger fingers. These scissors are 9.5cm (3.75") long and have straight blades with rounded tips and fine blades. (Standard and medium blades are also available on our Mini Dissecting Scissors. Our dissecting scissors are for general use in dissection, preparation of tissue samples, and small animal surgeries. Dissecting scissors have thinner (and often longer) blades than operating scissors. They are designed for cutting and probing in tight spaces. Their tips are pointed, where operating scissors are generally blunt. These are available in surgical grade stainless steel.
