PerkinElmer supplies rectangular spacers made of either lead or teflon. These spacers come in a variety of thicknesseses, allowing you to customize the Universal Demountable Cell's path length to the experiment's requirements. Also available is a packet of Assorted Rectangular Spacers (L1270421) which includes two of each type of spacer. Please note: When rectangular windows and spacers are used, the Universal Demountable Cell becomes a Semi-Demountable Cell.

Suitable for most common applications (e.g., routine aqueous samples, <5% acid matrix, non-HF, non-organic). Not recommended for samples containing HF. Use a new Graphite Sampler Cone Gasket (SZ5001) each time the cone is re-installed, even if it¿s the same cone. Replace sampler cone screws if corroded or worn (SZ5002). Use 10x Magnifier Inspection Tool with Built-In LED Illumination (NC2042261) to inspect cone orifice condition. Perkin Elmer US LLC Preassembled Sealed Liquid Cell - CaF2, 0.5 mm
Sealed liquid cells have a corrosion-resistant construction, making them ideal for highly volatile samples. Each cell has a precise path length which is calibrated using the interference pattern generated by an empty cell in the beam of a spectrometer. These cells are ideal for quantitative analysis where you require an accurate reproducible cell thickness. They use a lead spacer which is amalgamated to the window material. The resultant bond forms a good leak-free seal which is effective in preventing evaporation and loss of sample. You can fill or empty liquid samples easily. The sealed liquid cell is an integral unit and cannot be disassembled.
