Electron Microscopy Sciences EUKITT Microfix Mounting Medium 500 ML
MICROFIX follows the proven, xylene-based approach of O. Kindler ORSAtec. It is characterized by fast curing, crystal-clear optics, low fluorescence, ideal refractive index, good flowability and low shrinkage. It is colorless and does not change shape, structure or color of the material to be examined. These characteristics are already known from the classic EUKITT. What is new is the streamlined and optimized synthesis and filling process, and a still further optimized selection of our raw materials.
Leica Biosystems SPECTRA CV X1 MOUNTING MEDIUM
HistoCore SPECTRA CV X1 is a rapid drying, xylene based mounting media. An antioxidant is added to inhibit stain fading and prevent the formation of annual rings. It sets up quickly, allowing slide preparations to be handled immediately after mounting. SPECTRA X1 is soluble in xylene, toluene, and most xylene substitutes.This product is only available for use in conjunction with the HistoCore SPECTRA CV.
Electron Microscopy Sciences Technovit Medium 4000 Large Kit
Technovit 400 is a fast curing, cold polymerizing, three-component resin, which is based on a modified polyester, and it is available in the form of powder, syrup I, and syrup II. It is mixed at a ratio of 2:2:1 (powder:syrup I:syrup II). Syrup I and Syrup II are mixed together first and the powder is mixed in last. The color is white opaque.
Technovit 4000 is distinguished by its low shrinkage when polymerizing and its perfect margin fit. Due to its excellent flow characteristics, Technovit 4000 guaranteed that geometrically demanding samples are optimally embedded. Its excellent adhesion properties with regard to metal are a guarantee of gapless embedding of all metal samples. These properties are of particular importance when working with samples that require good edge definitions.
After mixing, Technovit 4000 can be used for casting for approximately 4 minutes and takes approximately 8 minutes to cure.

Silver Conductive Coating 18DB70X is a direct substitute for Silver Conductive Fluid 416, which is no longer available. This material was specially formulated for use in geographic areas that demand the use of low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) products. It also provides low ohms at very thin dry film thickness on almost any surface, and exhibits excellent long term shielding and grounding properties.

SEEBRIGHT Mounting Medium with DAPI is an antifade reagent that minimizes photobleaching. Use of the mounting medium significantly extends the lifetime of fluorescent signals. AdipoGen DAPI dihydrochloride
Chemical. CAS 28718-90-3. Formula C16H15N5 . 2HCl. MW 277.3 . 72.9. Synthetic. DAPI 4,6-Diamidino-2-phenylindole dihydrochloride is a cell permeable, fluorescent dye that is a minor groove-binding probe for DNA. Binds to the minor groove of double-stranded DNA preferentially to AT rich DNA, forming a stable complex which fluoresces approximately 20 times greater than DAPI alone. DAPI is several times more sensitive than ethidium bromide for staining DNA in agarose gels. It may be used for photofootprinting of DNA, to detect annealed probes in blotting applications by specifically visualizing the double-stranded complex, and to study the changes in DNA and analyze DNA content during apoptosis using flow cytometry. DAPI staining has also been shown to be a sensitive and specific detection method for mycoplasma. Spectral Data Excitation lambdaex 340 nm Emission lambdaem 488 nm only DAPI. Citifluor mounting medium for immunofluorescence is designed to reduce the fading of the fluorescence of dyes used for labeling biological specimens. In the technique of fluorescence microscopy, the fluorescence is stimulated by high intensity UV and/or visible light. Absorption of the light populates an excited state of the dye (usually a singlet state) and this leads to fluorescence. However, the excited state of the dye may undergo chemical reaction, which leads to destruction as evidenced by the fading of the fluorescence and consequent loss of the image. A glycerol solution of n-propyl gallate.

A water soluble embedding media which is based on Glycol Methacrylate (GMA) plastic embedding. It is intended for use in preparing samples for high resolution microscopes (HRLM). The catalyzed monomer acts as a dehydration and infiltration agent; therefore, complete dehydration through 100% ethanol is not necessary (although recommended for large or dense tissues). Conventional paraffin sections have a greater degree of shrinkage and produce inadequate morphology when compared to JB-4. Kit includes 800 ml Solution A, 30 ml Solution B, 12 g catalyst.

This mounting medium is made with limonene, a natural product from orange peels. It preserves tissues and cell smears that can be dehydrated with organic solvents in immunohistochemistry, e.g. DAB and DAB with nickel or cobalt. Our Limonene-Mount also works well with alkaline phosphatase chromogens, and organic solvent resistant Supper Fast Red. It is also a good choice for mounting H and E stained slides. Diagnostic Biosystems CC/MOUNT CC/Mount™
CC/Mount is an aqueous mounting medium with very high refractive index. When applied to the stained tissue sections, specimens can be permanently mounted without chromogens fading. Due to the superior refractive index of CC/Mount, tissues mounted in this medium look like dehydrated specimens. No coverslipping is required with CC/Mount. However, if coverslipping is desired, dried CC/Mount can be post-mounted by using an organic based mounting medium. Advantages of CC/Mount are numerous: no coverslip, no exposure to the organic fumes, permanent storage of slides and high resolution of tissue specimens. CC/Mount is compatible with chromogens lik AEC, DAB, Fast Red, BCIP/NBT, BCIP/INT and fluorescent dyes like FITC and phycobiliproteins.
