Electron Microscopy Sciences Fluoro-Gel III Mounting Medium 100 ML
Fluoro-Gel is a water based mounting medium designed for the permanent mounting of fluorescent stained tissues, which may either be damaged or soluble in organic solvents, such as xylene or toluene. This unique formula prevents rapid photo-bleaching of FITC, Texas Red, AMCA, Cy2, Cy3, Cy5, Alexa Fluoro 488, Alexa Fluoro 594, Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP), Tetramethylyrhodamine, Redox, Phycoerythrin (RP-E), Phyocyanin (PC), and Allophycocyanin (APC).
The fluorescence is retained during prolonged storage at 4 degree C in the dark. Application: Immunofluorescence, confocal microscope. Contains PI (Propidium Iodide) a counterstain for DNA.

Citifluor mounting medium for immunofluorescence is designed to reduce the fading of the fluorescence of dyes used for labeling biological specimens. In the technique of fluorescence microscopy, the fluorescence is stimulated by high intensity UV and/or visible light. Absorption of the light populates an excited state of the dye (usually a singlet state) and this leads to fluorescence. However, the excited state of the dye may undergo chemical reaction, which leads to destruction as evidenced by the fading of the fluorescence and consequent loss of the image. PBS solution containing an amine-based antifadent.

Electron Microscopy Sciences CytoSeal™ Mounting Medium 60 Mounting Medium 16 OZ
CytoSeal 60 and 280 are toluene-based mounting mediumformulated from acrylic resins that will not crack or discolor with age. An antioxidant has been added to the formulation to inhibit fading or yellowing of stained specimens. It will not become brittle and crack, nor will it discolor or yellow with age. CytoSeal can be dissolved in toluene or xylene. Low-viscosity medium dries quickly and spreads evenly and rapidily virtually eliminating air bubbles.
AdipoGen DAPI 2HCl Solution 10mM water
Chemical. CAS 28718-90-3. Formula C16H15N5 . 2HCl. MW 350.25. DAPI 4,6-Diamidino-2-phenylindole dihydrochloride is a cell permeable, fluorescent dye that is a minor groove-binding probe for DNA. Binds to the minor groove of double-stranded DNA preferentially to AT rich DNA, forming a stable complex which fluoresces approximately 20 times greater than DAPI alone. DAPI is several times more sensitive than ethidium bromide for staining DNA in agarose gels. It may be used for photofootprinting of DNA, to detect annealed probes in blotting applications by specifically visualizing the double-stranded complex, and to study the changes in DNA and analyze DNA content during apoptosis using flow cytometry. DAPI staining has also been shown to be a sensitive and specific detection method for mycoplasma. Spectral Data Excitation lambdaex 340 nm Emission lambdaem 488 nm only DAPI.
