The cAMP Hunter PTGER2 Gs cell line is a stable, engineered cell line for use in studying drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) targeting GPCRs. This cell line enables assessment of ligand (e.g. prostaglandin D2) based activation of PTGER2 GPCR activity via detection of increasing levels of intracellular cAMP. This product uses EFC technology. The cells overexpress wild type PTGER2, a naturally Gs coupled GPCR. Upon activation of PTGER2, the increase in levels of intracellular cAMP leads to an increased signal from EFC when the cAMP detection kit is applied. Originally isolated from a confirmed human case in Washington state, it is intended for use in molecular assays or as a process control (eg, viral RNA extraction through qPCR amplification process), and it can also be used to make a dilution series to estimate level of detection. Each vial contains ~0.25 mL of clarified cell lysate and supernatant from infected Vero E6 cells.
