OptiView DAB IHC Detection Kit (OptiView) is an indirect, biotin-free system for detecting mouse IgG, mouse IgM and rabbit primary antibodies. The kit is intended to identify targets by immunohistochemistry (IHC) in sections of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded and frozen tissue that are stained on the VENTANA automated slide stainers and visualized by light microscopy. The clinical interpretation of any staining, or the absence of staining, must be complemented by morphological studies and evaluation of proper controls. This product should be interpreted by a qualified pathologist in conjunction with histological examination, relevant clinical information, and proper controls. This product is intended for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use.

When in the presence of peroxidase enzyme, DAB produces a brown precipitate that is insoluble in alcohol and xylene. This product comes in a two-component system consisting of a liquid stable DAB chromogen and DAB substrate buffer. The color of the chromogen may vary from pale brown to orange. However, this does not interfere with staining properties. intelliPATH FLX DAB is a very stable and superior formulation. In some cases, antibody titers may increase by two-fold. intelliPATH FLX DAB can be used both manually and on automated stainers.

The PYROGENT–5000 Kinetic Turbidimetric LAL Assay is a quantitative, kinetic assay for the detection of Gram-negative bacterial endotoxin.
