This septa was designed for specific, older instruments such as Agilent 1050 and to provide extra cleaning when "wiping" a needle. Also provides a small degree of better resealing after injection compared to Silicone Rubber / PTFE Septa. Ordering in case quantities is the most economical value.

Pre-slit for easy penetration by autosampler needles. Recommended for Waters Alliance & Acquity instruments. Y Shape Pre-Slit provides a greater target area for needles and are easier to penetrate but do not reseal as well as single slit septa. Soft-Guard™ Septa are easier to penetrate by autosampler needles, and re-seals better than other Caps on the market. This provides longer instrument up-time, fewer missed injections and more consistent data. Use for HPLC, GC, LCMS or GCMS.

Soft polyethylene caps are more pliable than other Snap Caps and are easier to place on the vial. Popular choice when using a large number of caps at one time. These caps may not seal as well as other Snap Caps and should be used with sample solvents with low volatility. Butyl Rubber with Tefzel is a lower cost Septa but inert enough for most applications.

Special Shape Septa with thick rubber outer ring (3mm) and thinned rubber center (1.5mm) provides a good seal with most 20mm crimp top Headspace vials. The target area on this Septa is easer for SPME needles to penetrate, minimizing broken or damaged needles. Recommended with CTC Pal and other autosamplers with SPME or Solid Phase Micro-Extraction injectors. Bimetallic Caps have a magnetic center and an aluminum outer ring that makes crimping them easier than all steel caps.
