Ginkgo’s cell free protein synthesis (CFPS) Economy kit is a beta version of our CFPS kit formulated to maximize protein expression per dollar spent. The E. coli transcription/translation system produces proteins from a T7 RNA polymerase promoter. Reactions consist of a bacterial cell lysate and a reagent mix that contain all components required for protein production; the user must simply provide a DNA template that encodes the protein of interest under control of a T7 promoter. The system is easy-to-use, produces protein within a few hours, and is compatible with high-throughput liquid handling and automation platforms. Protein yield and function can be evaluated in solution or following purification.10 mL kit enables user to run 1000 reactions of 10 µL, 200 reactions of 50 µL, or user can scale reaction volumes to their own specifications. Storage at -80° C.
