Poly-D-Lysine is an extracellular matrix used to facilitate neural cell adhesion to tissue culture-treated plastic and glass surfaces. When used on Nunc plastics with B-27 supplements or the B-27 Plus Neuronal Culture System, Poly-D-Lysine maintains cell viability and normal growth characteristics in multiple neuronal cell types.

It enhances plating efficiency and growth rates, shortens "lag time" after passage, promotes the organization of polarity and cytoskeletal architecture, and can increase cell yield during culture expansion.
