Built for high performance, the metal-impregnated polycarbonate case provides protection from electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio-frequency interference (RFI). Menu-driven for ease of operation. Wide range of measurement options, including peak exposure, short-term exposure limit (STEL) and time-weighted average (TWA). Also provides readings on battery voltage and condition. Simplified calibration eliminates need to open instrument. Internal sensors monitor gases by diffusion or by remote sampling using pump module and sampling equipment. Available with three- and four-gas sensors. Combustible-gas sensor has range of 0 to 100% lower explosive limit (LEL); oxygen sensor, 0 to 25% by volume; carbon monoxide sensor, 0 to 2000ppm; and hydrogen sulfide sensor, 0 to 200ppm. Each monitor features three pushbuttons for simple operation: ON/OFF (activates unit), PAGE (accesses available display pages), and RESET (turns off alarm). For dark work areas, a backlight illuminates display when any button is activated. Measures combustible gas as a percentage of LEL or over a range of 0 to 5% methane; oxygen, a percentage by volume; and toxic gas in parts per million. Features exclusive Lockalarm Circuit that is “LEL-latching” for combustible and toxic gases. If atmospheric conditions reach 100% LEL, the alarm sounds and unit must be moved into a fresh-air environment to be silenced. Alarm setpoint is adjustable for each individual gas. Each monitor measures 8 1/8L x 1 7/8W x 3 1/4 in.H (20.6 x 4.8 x 8.3cm) and weighs 33 oz. (0.94kg).
