Description
Anti-PEG, clone AGP4, Cat. No. MABS1964, is a mouse monoclonal antibody that detects Polyethylene glycol (PEG) and has been tested for use in ELISA, Western Blotting, and Immunohistochemistry.
Polyethylene glycols (PEG) are non-toxic, uncharged, hydrophilic long chain polymers with a big exclusion volume in aqueous solution. The covalent attachment of PEG is commonly employed to modify proteins and drugs that can increase their bioavailability and reduce immunogenicity and proteolytic degradation. PEG is considered as a non-immunogenic moiety and has been widely tested for its ability to protect proteins from the host s immune system. This antibody (Clone AGP4) binds to the PEG backbone and is suitable for capture of PEGylated compounds in ELISA as well as the detection of PEGylated molecules. It is suitable for sensitive ELISA applications where AGP4 can be used as a capture antibody. Note: Tween-20 should be used in wash buffers for this antibody combination.Specifications
