C6 NBD ceramide is a fluorescent short-chain ceramide analog used as a Golgi apparatus probe in live and fixed cells. It is cell-permeable and is metabolized to fluorescent sphingomyelin and glucosylceramide, enabling visualization of sphingolipid transport, Golgi morphology, and related cellular processes (Ex 466 nm, Em 536 nm).
- Provides bright green fluorescence for imaging (Ex 466 nm, Em 536 nm).
- Cell membrane permeable for live and fixed cell labeling.
- Metabolized to fluorescent sphingomyelin and glucosylceramide for metabolism studies.
- High purity (99.3%) for consistent experimental results.
- Supplied as a 1 mg vial suitable for small-scale assays.
- Store sealed at -20°C; in solvent, store at -80°C for up to 6 months or -20°C for up to 1 month.
