Luteolin 7-O-glucuronide inhibits Matrix Metalloproteinases (MMP) activities, with IC50s of 17.63, 7.99, 11.42, 12.85, and 0.03 μM for MMP-1, MMP-3, MMP-8, MMP-9, and MMP-13, respectively. It also inhibits NO production and mRNA expression of inflammatory mediators (COX-2, IL-6, IL-1β, and TNF-α) as well as NF-κB, p38, and JNK activation in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages. In a mouse sleep deprivation model, this compound improved depression-like and stress coping behaviors.
