Biochemical Reagents, Gliocidin, Nicotinamide-mimetic prodrug, CAS 62289-81-0, 98% by HPLC/NMR (Conforms), Gliocidin is a nicotinamide-mimetic prodrug that targets de novo purine biosynthesis vulnerability in glioblastoma (IC50 150 nM).1 Gliocidin was converted via the NAD salvage pathway to gliocidin-adenine dinucleotide with directly interfered with the activity of IMPDH2 resulting in guanylate depletion and cell death. Displays strong blood brain barrier permeability and suppression of glioblastoma in athymic nude mice. Gliocidin showed synergistic effects with temozolomide. Inhibitor of the SARS 3CLPRO protease.2

Bioreactors utilize innovative membrane technology to separate the cell cultivation area from the media chamber. Cells and cellular-secreted products with a MWCO over 10kD are retained between two non-cytotoxic membranes. The upper semi-permeable membrane allows continuous nutrient diffusion and waste elimination. The lower membrane provides direct oxygenation and ensures optimum gas exchange. Separate ports give access to either media or cell cultivation chamber allowing easy change of expended medium without interference of cell growth, function, or gas exchange.
