Very strong and rugged clear polycarbonate box to store standard pin mounts with 3.2mm (1/8"). This box is watertight, crushproof and dustproof. The strong hinges, locking clasps and soft silicone O-ring seal makes this an ideal transport, shipping and storage box for SEM samples on pin mounts. The holder insert is numbered 1-18 and accommodates all types of pin mounts form 6.4 to 50mm diameter.

Our grid boxes are for use in routine grid handling and long term storage. Each diamond will hold Stores 3.05 mm or 2.3 mm diameter grids. The two side features allow easier handling during specimen removal. Grid can be catalogued using the alpha numeric index on the side and the durable 25 column card for record keeping. EMS25 is a small grid storage box, designed as a low alternative to larger grid boxes.
Ted Pella Inc PELCO Tabs™, Carbon Conductive Tabs, 6mm OD
The simplicity of application and smooth, clean surfaces of PELCO Tabs™ Carbon Conductive Tabs are a significant improvement compared to many of the other common adhesives that have been used in SEM mounting. Both tab sides have a thick conductive adhesive (conductive inner tab is 35µm and the adhesive is 45µm on each side for a total thickness of 125µm [5 mils]) with a liner on both sides, a transparent liner and white liner respectively. They are ready for immediate use. The top protective liner does not have to be removed until the sample is ready to be mounted. This reduces possible contamination. Outgassing is negligible.

These stage micrometers are available with a calibration certificate that provides traceability for the precise calibration and confirmation of accuracy of optical measuring instruments, necessary under ISO provisions. The glass discs are mounted in stainless steel slides with engraved serial numbers. Each slide is supplied in a polished wooden storage case. A Certificate of Comparison from Pyser-SGI compares the scale to a NPL calibrated in-house standards. Reflected light stage micrometer with 0.1" scale subdivided to 0.001".

Electron Microscopy Sciences Graphene Oxide Support film on Quantifoil R2/2, Cu 300 mesh
Graphene Oxide (GO) support film is a super thin (<1nm), naturally hydrophilic layer placed over the support film on grids. Pre-treatment of GO Support Films is unnecessary - by default, the hydrophilic surface spreads particles evenly across the grid. A hydrophobic surface can be achieved by heating in the air.
It works well with holey carbon, lacey carbon, and Quantifoil grid types, effectively spanning the gaps. It is less expensive than graphene to produce due to complexity of graphene manufacturing and has a better background contrast than graphene resulting in higher resolution. Nearly transparent in electron beam and barely visible under optical microscopes. Regular batch checking ensures correct coverage of monomers.
Note: plasma cleaning or glow discharge will damage the support film.

QUANTIFOIL is a perforated support foil with pre-defined hole size, shape and arrangement. It has advantages in electron microscopy (EM) or low-energy electron point source (LEEPS) microscopy when compared with conventional holey film.
QUANTIFOIL with circular holes is used in cryo-electron tomographic reconstruction. The roundness of the holes is advantageous with respect to the formation of an ice layer of constant thickness. The whole size chosen depends on the magnification used, and on whether or not one wishes to include support film in the image. Assessment of the image quality is easier when foil is included in the picture, because the power spectrum of a foil is stronger than that of unsupported ice.

Electron Microscopy Sciences Formvar/Carbon Support Film 15-20 nm/20-30 nm thick on London Finder LF135 Nickel Grid
A formvar coated grid, stabilized with evaporated carbon film. This type of coating is excellent for specimen support, especially for ultra thin sections. Coated grids are optically checked followed by batch testing in the electron microscope. Packed in grid storage box. NOTE: All film is laid on the shiny side of the grid. Formvar is 15 to 20 nm thick with a 20 to 30 nm carbon coating.
