General Microscope Accessories
General accessories for use with microscopes. Products include lens oil, lens cleaner, slide dispensers, microscope covers, vessel holders, light cubes, and flow cells.
Many parts of your microscope can be updated or replaced including microscope lamps, lenses, and eyepieces. Replacement lamps, light sources, and power cords can extend the working lives of your microscopy equipment. New or replacement objectives and lenses can help increase the total magnification available with your microscope.
Add greater magnification or exchange your eyepiece for one with a reticule to more easily estimate the sizes of the items being viewed.
Replace or update your mechanical stage or clamps or add cell culture vessel adapters to facilitate specimen positioning.
Condensers can also be replaced, and conversion kits are available to add phase contrast, polarization, fluorescence, or other capabilities to your current system.
Some microscopes can be adapted for use with still or video cameras. Look for cameras and adapters designed for your specific microscope brand. Film and documentation-related products may also be available to support your record-keeping.
Temporary, semi-permanent, and more long-term slide storage options include:
- Slide racks that securely hold slides during staining procedures
- Folding fiberboard or plastic slide holders with horizontal indentations that keep microscope slides in place
- Slide storage boxes with vertical dividers; made from fiberboard, plastic, and wood and available in multiple sizes
- Slide holders and mailers for transporting slides safely
- Slide storage systems and cabinets for large quantities of slides or archival storage

The NIGHTSEA Model SFA Fluorescence Adapter system adds a versatile fluorescence imaging capability to the Keyence VHX series of digital microscopes. The system is being used successfully by a growing number of Keyence owners for a variety of applications.

The damped rolling diaphragm isolators have a low natural frequency of 2Hz which effectively isolates out vibrations above 6Hz, well below the frequencies at which typical building vibrations begin to occur. These pinholes are prepared from pure copper foil, 3 mm in diameter, 25 microns thick. They possess very high roundness and edge retention. Blackened on one surface. Mounted in black anodized aluminum discs. Mounted in a recessed hole in an anodized holder, 16 mm in diameter.

EMS Mica Sheets offer a clean surface for EM applications, carbon filming & particle spraying, as well as for AFM applications. There are 2 types of mica: muscovite & phlogopite. Generally, one differs from the other by color (Muscovite is Ruby, Green or White; Phlogopite is Amber, Yellow, or Silver). The max operating temp for Muscovite is about 500-600 deg C & for Phlogopite is about 800-900 deg C. Our line consists of High Quality Muscovite Mica. This mica peels off very thin up to 0.0001" uniform layers, exposing "virgin" mica upon splitting.
Muscovite, potash type mica, sometimes known as granitic mica, is the best of all micas in dielectric strength, perfection of cleavage, & transparency. It has the chem formula: H2KAI3(Si04)3. Clear & Slightly Stained. Hard, uniform color, nearly flat & slight crystallographic discoloration. Very slight air inclusions & not more than 1/4 of usable area.

Cargille PCB-Free Immersion oils were introduced in 1972. Today, no other immersion oil meets FDA criteria. For horizontal, inverted and inclined instruments and projection equipment where higher viscosities are generally required. Type NVH meets the requirement, having a viscosity of 21,000cST.

Electron Microscopy Sciences Cargille Microscope Type 37 Immersion Oil 1 OZ
Cargille PCB-Free Immersion oils were introduced in 1972. Today, no other immersion oil meets FDA criteria. Cargille 37 Immersion Oils have an index of 1.515 at 37 deg C. Consideration of these oils is also suggested where stage temperatures are elevated by sub-stage illuminators and high wattage projection equipment.

This carbon coated film on a broken pattern consists of woven-mesh-like holes of different sizes and shapes. This type of pattern provides support but does not interfere when observing specimen sections. All of our coated grids are optically checked followed by batch testing in the EM. The NIGHTSEA™ Stereo Microscope Fluorescence Adapter adapts just about any stereo microscope (dissecting microscope) for fluorescence w/ no modification to the microscope itself. A formvar coated grid, stabilized with evaporated carbon film. This type of coating is excellent for specimen support, especially for ultra thin sections. All of our coated grids are optically checked followed by batch testing in the EM. Packed in grid storage box. NOTE: All of our film is laid on the shiny side of the grid. Formvar is 5-6 nm thick with a 1 nm carbon coating.
