Glyserias is an enzyme that cleaves the Fc portion of IgG antibodies. It is produced by Genovis and sold in vials containing 2000 units of the enzyme. Glyserias works optimally at pH 5.5-6.5 and 37°C. It can cleave both native and recombinant IgGs of all subclasses in just 30 minutes. Glyserias enables antibody deglycosylation, antibody fragmentation, and Fc/Fab separation. It has applications in structural biology, effector function studies, mass spec analysis, and antibody drug development. Glyserias provides an easy and gentle method of IgG cleavage compared to traditional proteolytic enzymes.
