Tryptic Soy Agar with Lecithin and Tween 80 is a neutralizing culture medium supplied in a 300mL bottle for melt and pour preparation. The formulation is designed to recover microorganisms from surfaces or samples containing disinfectant residues. Lecithin neutralizes quaternary ammonium compounds, while Tween 80 neutralizes phenolic disinfectants and related chemicals. These neutralizers prevent antimicrobial carryover from interfering with microbial growth during testing. The TSA base provides a nutrient rich environment that supports a wide range of bacteria and fungi. This medium is widely used in environmental monitoring programs in pharmaceutical, food, and industrial laboratories.

Also known as TSA or Trypticase Soy Agar, Tryptic Soy Agar is used for the isolation and cultivation of fastidious and nonfastidious microorganisms. This medium can be used for a wide variety of purposes including maintenance of stock cultures, plate counts and microorganism isolation of a range of specimens. It is also used for testing bacterial contaminants in cosmetics. The addition of blood can be used for the visualization of hemolytic reactions produced by various bacterial species. The addition of Tween 80 (Polysorbate 80) and/or Lecithin, is used for environmental monitoring as they inactivate disinfectant residue. Whether you need a general-purpose, nonselective media or you need added blood to facilitate a more fasitdious bacterial lawn for the detection of hemolytic reactions, we have several products to choose from. M Endo LES Agar is a selective and differential medium used for the enumeration of total coliform bacteria in water samples using the membrane filtration method. LES stands for Lawrence Experimental Station, indicating a formulation optimized for improved coliform recovery. Each plate contains approximately 20 mL of distinctive reddish pink agar designed to differentiate bacteria based on lactose fermentation. The medium includes sodium sulfite and basic fuchsin, which inhibit Gram positive organisms while acting as indicators. When membrane filters containing bacteria are placed on the agar surface, lactose fermenting coliforms such as E. coli produce red colonies often displaying a characteristic green metallic sheen. Non lactose fermenters appear colorless or pale pink, allowing reliable identification of coliform contamination in water samples.

Selective Agar medium used for the isolation of Gram positive staphylococci and streptococci from clinical specimens. Eliner et al. added colistin nalidixic acid to Columbia Agar to suppress the growth of gram negative bacteria. The addition of 5-10% sheep red blood cells to the base demonstrates hemolytic patterns of the staphylococci and streptococci.
Formula per liter*:Casein Digest Peptone: 5.0g; Corn Starch: 1.0g; Peptic Digest of Animal Tissue: 8.0g; Sodium Chloride: 5.0g; Yeast Enriched Peptone: 10.0g; Colistine: 0.015g; Nalidixic Acid: 0.010g; Agar: 14.0g. *Grams per liter may be adjusted or formula supplemented to obtain desired performance.
Preparation: Mix 44 grams of the medium in a liter of purified water until evenly dispersed. Heat with repeated stirring and boil for one minute to dissolve completely. Distribute and autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.

Rose Bengal Agar with Chloramphenicol is a selective culture medium designed for the isolation and enumeration of yeasts and molds from food, environmental, and water samples. The formulation helps control two common problems in fungal culturing: bacterial contamination and rapidly spreading mold colonies. Rose Bengal dye restricts colony , keeping mold growth compact and easy to count without preventing development. The dye also lightly stains fungal structures, improving visibility against the agar surface. Chloramphenicol acts as a broad spectrum antibiotic that suppresses most bacterial growth, ensuring that fungal colonies develop without interference. This medium is commonly used in microbiology laboratories for fungal enumeration, environmental monitoring, and quality control testing.
