Vina Green is a novel permanent chromogen that produces a green stain in the presence of horseradish peroxidase (HRP). The kit consists of liquid Vina Green chromogen and buffer that are stable, when mixed, for at least 4 hours at room temperature. Vina Green is clearly distinguishable from Warp Red and DAB on a single slide, enabling high flexibility for its application in Multiplex IHC. Vina Green is suitable for both immunohistochemistry (IHC) and in situ hybridization (ISH) applications including HPV, CMV, EBV, Kappa, Lambda, p63, HMWCK, TTF-1, Ki-67, and other targets/antigens such as blood and lymphatic vessels, and basal and myoepithelial cells. The reaction product is insoluble in alcohols and xylene and, therefore, a variety of counterstains and permanent mounting media can be used with this chromogen kit.

Novocastra Epitope Retrieval Solutions are intended for Heat Induced Epitope Retrieval (HIER) on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections as part of an immunohistochemical procedure. HIER using an appropriate pH solution improves the staining of some antibodies by exposing epitopes within tissue that have been masked during fixation. A universal HIER technique suitable for all epitopes does not exist. A combination of different heating methods and epitope retrieval solutions may be used to optimize unmasking of antigens where this technique is recommended. HIER is not recommended for all antibodies. Optimum conditions for epitope retrieval should be validated by the user, as these are dependent upon tissue, fixation and/or primary antibody. RE7119 is supplied as a 1 L volume, sufficient to prepare 10 L of working solution. It is a Tris/EDTA-based buffer and should be diluted with de-ionized water to prepare a working solution. Quantification of lipid peroxidation is essential to assess the role of oxidative injury in pathophysiological disorders. Lipid peroxidation results in the formation of highly reactive, unstable hydroperoxides of both saturated and unsaturated lipids. Cayman’s Lipid Hydroperoxide Assay measures the hydroperoxides utilizing the redox reactions with ferrous ions. An EAsy to use quantitative extraction method is used to extract lipid hydroperoxides into chloroform and then the extract is used directly in the assay. This procedure eliminates any interference caused by H2O2 or endogenous ferric ions in the sample and provides a sensitive, reliable assay for lipid peroxidation. This kit is designed for use with either a single-tube spectrophotometer or with a 96-well microplate reader. The microplate reader requires a reusable glass plate that is supplied with the LPO Assay Kit (96 well) (Item No. 705003). The range of the assay is 0.25-5 nmol hydroperoxide per tube.
