Retinoic acid-d5 is a deuterium-labeled Retinoic acid, a metabolite of vitamin A crucial for cell growth, differentiation, and organogenesis. It acts as a natural agonist of RAR nuclear receptors with IC50s of 14 nM for RARα/β/γ, and binds to PPARβ/δ with a Kd of 17 nM. It also inhibits transcription factor Nrf2 through retinoic acid receptor alpha activation.
