Cap, Chem Snap, 11mm, Blue, Pre-Cut Septa, PTFE/Silicone. Chem Snap Caps include pre-cut septa where only the carrier is cut through in a Y-form, leaving the PTFE lamination intact. The unhurt PTFE lamination gives 100% protection to the sample while leaving a 0.05mm thick PTFE portion remaining for needle penetration. The Y-form in the pre-cut silicone allows for a better flow of air during sample pick up in order to avoid a vacuum in the vial.

Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) can be tested or stored in our autosampler vials using these caps. The silicone rubber (for optimal sealing), and polypropylene fitted liners (for inertness) are excellent for storage of your sample before or after chromatography. These caps do not contain PTFE.

High Purity Silicone Rubber / PTFE Septa with Durometer of 45 Shore A, (hardness) and 3.0mm thick with Ultra Low Bleed Rubber that is made with a proprietary process for ultra durability, purity and low extractables. Excellent choice for highly sensitive analyses. The lower Durometer means that this is a softer Septa and therefore better for easier penetrations by autosampler needles. Wide temperature range from -60⁰ to 200⁰C. Bimetallic caps are still magnetic but easier to crimp compared to all steel crimp caps.

These unique caps can be used for almost any sample but are designed for Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) testing in our autosampler vials. The silicone rubber (for optimal sealing), and Polypropylene fitted Septa (for inertness) are excellent for chromatography. These caps do not contain PTFE like most other autosampler vial caps. Use with AQ™ Brand or RSA™ brand 9mm screw thread autosampler vials for best performance and sealing.
