Detection of neonatal hypoglycemia, the exclusion of pancreatic islet cell carcinoma as well as the evaluation of carbohydrate metabolism in various diseases represent further applications. Method: Enzymatic UV test using hexokinase. The reagent has a high specificity and wide measuring range (2 to 900 mg/dL) and is formulated according to IFCC/AACC gold standard methodology. Reagent 1 contains TRIS, Mg2+, ATP and NAD, reagent 2 contains Mg2+, Hexokinase and Glucose-6-Phospatedehydrogenase. Reagents must be stored refrigerated.
