M2N12 is a potent and highly selective inhibitor of cell division cycle 25C protein phosphatase (Cdc25C) with an IC50 value of 0.09 μM. It also shows promising activity against Cdc25A and Cdc25B, with IC50 values of 0.53 μM and 1.39 μM, respectively. M2N12 exhibits anti-tumor activity and is suitable for cancer research. It has cytotoxic activity against several tumor cell lines, including A549, MDA-MB-231, KB, KB-VIN, and MCF-7, as well as a normal cell line (HBE).
