This Cogent Ion Exchange Column is a Strong Anion Exchanger (SAX has a positively charged surface ) Stationary Phase that has been a premium value and used by HPLC laboratories for many years. It is manufactured with Quaternary Amine functional groups that are always charged. We use only the highest purity silica available, making this column ideal as an Alternate in USP Methods that use the L9 Classification or for acids analysis or purification. With a 5µm Particle, this column works well and produces excellent data for challenging IEX applications that include Anions (negatively charge compounds).

The Silica-C™ HPLC Columns are made with Cogent TYPE-C™ Silica, and provide unique Selectivity due to its surface chemistry (especially in Normal Phase HPLC) compared to standard silica, This Silica Hydride Phase is not modified and therefore has no end-capping or organic ligands.Chosen for analyzing large compounds that are not soluble in Water including but not limited to: lipids, peptides, proteins, oligonucleotides and other compounds that require non polar solvents. Faster Equilibration than other Silica Columns, no need to control moisture in Mobile Phase Solvents, robust Column Lifetimes. This column is often chosen when more separation between closely related compounds or longer retention times is needed for macro-molecules such as proteins and poly saccharides.

The unique packed floating stem installs directly into any 10-32 port and automatically adjusts to provide a perfect ZDV connection. The replacement stems are low volume/ low-dispersion, intended for many repeat uses and is available with various bed volume and custom packing options. This product is recommended for nano flow applications.
