Surf-Blot eliminates the time consuming step of cutting blots into strips. Built-in liquid channels clamp directly onto the blot surface for screening of the intact blot. Surf-Blot also reduces the amount of antibody normally required for screening. Wide (2.5mm) channels allow convenient and bubble-free loading with either an 8 or 12 place pipettor. For best results select a Surf-Blot with channels approximately the same length as the gel. Blot gel onto a membrane that is 1 cm longer. Surf-Blot 8.5 is recommended for BioRad Criterion.

No matter what size your Western blot is, theres a box that fits it perfectly. With boxes that are correctly matched to common blot sizes, you can fit more blots on shakers/rockers while keeping reagent and antibody usage to an absolute minimum. Additionally, all corners are formed at 90 angles and the bottom surface is uniformly flat, further reducing consumption of costly reagents and antibodies.
