With the RepeaterAM4/Combitip System volumes are dispensed using the positive displacement principle. The RepeaterAM4 offers a unique volume range of 1AmuLA-A10AmL and is the only mechanical dispenser that dispenses the aspirated liquid up to 100Atimes without refilling the tip. The innovative step counter supports error-free working even after an interruption or distraction during the dispensing procedure. A fully emptied Combitip can be easily ejected with one hand using the operation lever without directly touching the tip.

The gold on carbon specimen is for resolution test of SE and BSE imaging and also for chemical mapping in high-resolution systems such as an Auger scanning instrument. Each test specimen has a square grid pattern with large crystals in the center of each square, and very fine crystals at the edges of each grid somedium and high resolution gap tests are performed on the same specimen. The larger crystals facets are used to assess the gray level reproduction at high resolution. Gold particles range from approximately 5nm to 150 nm.
