A formvar coated grid, stabilized with evaporated carbon film. This type of coating is excellent for specimen support, especially for ultra thin sections. Coated grids are optically checked followed by batch testing in the electron microscope. Packed in grid storage box. NOTE: All film is laid on the shiny side of the grid. Formvar is 15 to 20 nm thick with a 3 to 4 nm carbon coating.

Electron Microscopy Sciences R 2/4 Holey Carbon Films, 100/PK
QUANTIFOIL is a perforated support foil with pre-defined hole size, shape and arrangement that has advantages in electron microscopy (EM) or low-energy electron point source (LEEPS) when compared with conventional holey film. QUANTIFOIL with circular holes is used in cryo-electron tomographic reconstruction. The roundness of the holes is advantageous with respect to the formation of an ice layer of constant thickness. May be preferred over R 2/2, when an increased tolerance with respect to the position of beam, and a larger beam diameter are desired, such as in the case of automated image acquisition. Hole size is 2 µm. Space between holes is 4 µm. Center to center is 6 µm. Grid: Gold. Mesh: 200 . Type: H 2 . Pitch: 127 µm.

Electron Microscopy Sciences C-Flat™ Holey Carbon Grid CF-2/2-4C-Thick, 400 mesh Cu
C-flat is an ultra-flat, holey carbon-coated support grid for transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Unlike competing holey carbon films, C-flat is manufactured without plastics, so it is clean upon arrival and the user has no residue to contend with. Made with patent pending technology, C-flat provides an ultra-flat surface that results in better particle dispersion and more uniform ice thickness.
Patterning is done using deep-UV projection lithography, ensuring the most accurate and consistent hole shapes and sizes down to submicron features. The precise methods by which C-flat is manufactured elminate artifacts such as excess carbon and edges around holes.
C-flat holey carbon grids provide the ideal specimen support to achieve high resolution data in making them an ideal choice for cryo single particle analysis, cryo tomography and automated TEM analysis. 2.0 µm holes with 2.0 µm spacing.

Electron Microscopy Sciences Micromesh™ Biopsy Cassettes in QuickLoad™ Stacks, White
These Micromesh biopsy cassettes are compatible with Leica and Sakura printers, With 1676 square openings (0.38 mm) there is greatly improved fluid exchange without having to use biopsy pads. Large anterior and posterior slots in cassette and cover ensure the biopsy cassette will sink rapidly. A large square compartment with a side measuring 27 mm is perfect, even for needle biopsies. Molded from a special high density polymer, these patented cassettes keep specimens submerged and are resistant to the chemical action of histological solvents. The Micromesh mesh ensures efficient fluid exchange and drainage. The one-piece integral lid eliminates the need for separate steel lids. They can be opened and closed as often as necessary and relock securely without danger of specimen loss. The cover does not protrude above the cassette. Anterior writing area is at a 45 degree angle to make the cassette more suitable for automated cassette printers.Color: White

Ted Pella Inc Carbon Tape, 8mm W x 20m L
Both sides of the tape have a thick conductive adhesive (conductive inner film is 35µm and the adhesive is 45µm on each side for a total of 125µm [5 mils]) with a white liner. The double adhesive and conductive design permits quick mounting of samples without using liquid or colloidal adhesives. The tape is relatively solid and non-porous and does not absorb small samples. The variety of widths affords efficient application to various specimen mount surface sizes. Thickness is 0.16mm. Available in six widths. Can be used down to -20°C (-4°F) and temperature maximum is 60°C (140°F). Available in 5, 8, 12, 20, 25, and 50mm W x 20m L (0.19, 0.31, 0.47, 0.79, 0.98, and 1.96" x 21.8 yd). Core diameter is 76mm (3"). SEM mounts not included.
Ted Pella Inc PELCO TEM Grid Storage Box
Widely used compact grid box for 50 standard 3.05mm TEM grids with smoothly sliding clear plastic cover is matched to a tough, clean, self-lubricating base. The diamond-shaped grid compartments are designed to minimize awkward wrist or hand movements. The depth of the holes restricts grid movement when transported. The materials selected for the PELCO Grid Box are static dissipative to avoid static charges on the grids. Dimensions: 77.5 x 41 x 9mm.
