Glass Expansion Nickel Skimmer Cone for Elan
Nickel Skimmer Cone (WE021137) – Standard skimmer cone for PerkinElmer Elan 6000/9000/DRCII/DRC-E ICP-MS. Suitable for most common applications (e.g., routine aqueous samples, <5% acid matrix, non-HF, non-organic). Not recommended for samples containing HF. Replace skimmer cone O-ring if brittle, cracked or damaged (NC1585742). Use 10x Magnifier Inspection Tool with Built-In LED Illumination (NC2042261) to inspect cone orifice condition. When not in use, keep cones stored in original packaging for protection. These replacement Thermo Scientific Outer Tubes for our ICP-OES Ceramic D-Torches are made from a durable, ceramic material derived from silicon nitride, which is resistant to chemical attack. These properties are maintained at high temperatures and therefore avoid the problem of devitrification associated with traditional quartz torches. When needed, quartz replacement outer tubes are also available for the D-Torch. Improve ICP-OES plasma torch lifespan by switching to a Ceramic D-Torch.
