The Cytoseal XYL Mounting Medium is composed of high-quality synthetic resins and antioxidant that eliminates the chance of fading or yellowing of specimens. This product can also be dried quickly, which permits specimen examinations right after the application of the medium. It is packaged and sold in a 4 oz. bottle that has a twist-open cap.
Electron Microscopy Sciences Hollande's Fixative Prefilled, 60 ml cup, 30 ml Fill 30 ML
A modification of Bouin's solution. It is stable and will decalcify small bone specimens. Tissue that is fixed with Hollande's can be stained successfully with most stains, and the cupric acetate in the solution stabilizes red blood cell membranes and cosinophil and endocrine cell granules so that less lysis occurs than with Bouin's solution. Hollande's is widely used as a fixative for biopsy specimens of the gastrointestinal tract.
Thorough washing of the fixative prior to placing the specimen in a phosphate buffered formalin solution is necessary because the salts present in the solution will form an insoluble phosphate precipitate. Packaged in leak-proof histo-containers; prefilled ready-to-use.

Molecular Formula: OH(CH2O)n H, F.W. Average: 600, Paraformaldehyde is the condensation product of methylene glycol, a substance not so far isolated in its pure form; it is a white solid with a formaldehyde content between 78 and 98% and is supplied either as a Prill or Granular. All forms contain more than 95.5% paraformaldehyde content. The Prill and Granular forms are small, free-flowing, dust-free beads, the most desired by EM users. A fast-penetrating EM fixative used in combination with Glutaraldehyde, Acrolein, and Osmium Tetroxide.
LAB ALLEY Lab Alley Isopropyl Alcohol 91% Lab Grade
Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) at the 91% concentration is hydrophobic and evaporates quickly making this concentration ideal for use with products and environments that are sensitive to water and residues. Isopropyl alcohol is a colorless and flammable liquid. Lab grade chemicals are high quality but unlike the ACS/USP grade the exact impurities are unknown making these great for lab and research purposes but not pure enough for food or drug uses. This product contains 91% isopropyl alcohol 9% distilled water. The combination of alcohol and water makes this an ideal solution for cleaning and disinfecting. The presence of water makes this ideal for cleaning as it doesn’t evaporate as readily as a higher concentration. Isopropyl Alcohol is a colorless and flammable liquid.
