F). all PELCOa Silicone Rubber Molds are made from the highest quality silicone rubber available. With care they will last a long time. after polymerization in a 60a Deg. C oven, let molds cool before removing blocks. This precaution will increase the lifespan of the mold. Using silicone rubber with Spurr's Resin will significantly reduce the lifespan of the molds.

The Cryomold molds produce uniformly shaped, flat-surface specimen block when used with O.C.T. (optimum cutting temperature) compound, which is sold separately, for frozen sectioning. This can fit into Cryobar freezing wells of the Tissue Tek II microtome/cryostat with the use of an adapter. This product measures 15 mm x 15 mm x 15 mm.

Disposable base molds offer ease and convenience of operation. They are inexpensive enough to be discarded after use, yet strong enough to be reused. Made of PVC, they offer excellent thermal exchange. They have a smooth interior finish and rounded corners to facilitate their removal.
