It is polyadenylated, modified with ψUTP and optimized for mammalian systems. The addition of ψUTP and poly(A) tail can reduce host cell immune response and enhance mRNA stability. Unlike other natural or synthetic sweeteners, xylitol is actively beneficial for dental health by reducing caries cavities to a third in regular use and helpful to remineralization. Fair evidence was found that xylitol as chewing gum, lozenges, nasal spray, etc. reduced the incidence of acute middle ear infection in healthy children. Cavity-causing bacteria prefer six-carbon sugars or disaccharides, while xylitol is non-fermentable and cannot be used as an energy source - while still being taken up into the cell due to similar shape and interfering with bacterial growth and reproduction. AdipoGen Rutin trihydrate
Chemical. CAS 250249-75-3. Formula C27H30O16 . 3H2O. MW 664.5. Synthetic. A polyphenolic flavonoid that acts as an antioxidant and NO scavenger. It can attenuate peroxide production in glial cells by acting as a free radical scavenger and protect renal cells from oxidative injury. Inclusion of rutin in the diet of rats significantly reduced the appearance of single-strand breaks in nuclear DNA caused by hepatocarcinogens aflatoxin B1 and N-nitrosodiumethylamine. This protection from DNA damage was found to be due to a reduction in the induction of repair enzymes polymerase, DNA polymerase beta and DNA ligase. Since DNA damage and inefficient repair are thought to initiate the process of carcinogenesis, effects of rutin on these functions suggests a protective role of this flavonoid against carcinogenesis induced by chemical carcinogens. Rutin ameliorates obesity through brown fat activation.

Stains-all is a carbocyanine dye, which stains anionic proteins, nucleic acids, anionic polysaccharides and other anionic molecules. Stains-all is metachromatic and changes its color dependent on its contact to other molecules. The detection limit for phosphoproteins is below 1ng after one hour of staining, for anionic polysaccharides between 10 and 500ng. Highly anionic proteins are stained blue, proteoglycans purple and anionic proteins pink. RNA is stained blueish-purple with a detection limit of 90ng and DNA is stained blue with a detection limit of 3ng. Stains-all is light sensitive, therefore the staining is performed in the absence of light and photographed immediately. Staining of proteins can be improved by a subsequent silver stain.

It is one of the predominant steviol glycosides isolated from S. rebaudiana leaves. Rebaudioside A is a alpha-glucosidase inhibitor with IC50=35µg/ml and can inhibit ATP-sensitive K-channels. In vitro rebaudioside A stimulated the insulin secretion from MIN6 cells in a dose- and glucose-dependent manner. It increases glucagon-like peptide 1 GLP-1 secretion in a 2-dimensional mouse intestine model. Rebaudioside A is metabolized by gut microbiota to steviol. Rebaudioside A shows antioxidant activity on reducing cellular reactive oxygen species. It is an activator of Nrf2 and is a potential candidate hepatoprotective agent.
